A late goal by Aylton Boa Morte guaranteed Portimonense a 0-1 victory over Moreirense, in Moreira de Cónegos. In a match with few chances to score, the Algarve team was happier and won three more points in the fight for European places.

Portimonense came in more sharply and, in the first minute, Angulo shot for an easy save by Kewin.

At 16′, it was Carlinhos who tested the Moreirense goalkeeper's attention, but the shot came back out of the picture.

In added time in the first-half, the two most dangerous moves so far appeared, both for the home team. First it was Paulinho who, after a counterattack, shot close to Samuel Portugal's goal post.

Afterwards, it was Pedrão who saved Portimonense. After a corner, the goalkeeper of Portimonense let the ball slip from his hands, it fell to Filipe Soares, but the center of Alvinegros, on top of the line, avoided, with a great cut, that the header entered the goal.

The second half didn't bring any improvements to the game, opportunities continued to dwindle and, when one came, Portimonense didn't waste it.

In the 87th minute, Aylton Boa Morte managed to isolate himself, after a badly made cut by Fábio Pacheco, a cross shot, the ball still deflected on Steven Vitória, but it went into Kewin's goal.

With this victory, Paulo Sérgio's team rose to sixth place in the standings, with 23 points in 14 games.

Moreirense, who debuted Lito Vidigal on the bench, as the new coach, remains in the relegation zone with 9 points.
