The Algarve has 62 fewer active Covid-19 cases than it registered last Friday, now having a total of 3598, reveals the regional Civil Protection Commission, in its weekly situation report.
This decrease in active cases was due to the high number of recovered cases, over 1999, which surpassed the number of new cases in the last seven days, which were 1955. Q
This week, there were 18 deaths to mourn
In accumulated terms since the beginning of the pandemic, the Algarve region accounts for 55.247 cases and 569 deaths, motivated by the pandemic.
With regard to admissions of Covid patients in hospitals in the Algarve, they dropped from 84 to 80 people admitted (-4).
On the other hand, there is one more patient in the Intensive Care Unit (16 in total). The number of ventilated remains unchanged (9).
