Bruno Lage, chairman of the board, believes that this measure will create «a shelter from natural heat, in order to respond positively to the predictable heat waves, a direct consequence of the phenomena caused by the effects of Climate Change, allowing it to occur during blows. from heat, Farenses can shelter in a place next to the Ria Formosa and with natural shade, which can contribute to a drop of up to 7ºC in the ambient temperature in urban spaces».

«In addition, due to the botanical diversity now planted, this park, in the future, may be considered an area of relevant botanical interpretation, especially in tree species, as it currently gathers around three dozen different species of trees and shrubs, which allows the citizen to know and have direct contact with a series of species in one place», concluded the União de Freguesias de Faro.
