A reforestation action at the Mata da Conceição Leisure Park, greatly affected by the great fire this summer, which will involve the school community, but which will also have a moment open to the entire community, was the way that the Tavira Town Council found to celebrate the Indigenous Forest Week, on the 22nd and 27th of November.

On the 22nd, next Monday, between 9:30 am and 11:30 am and between 14:00 pm and 16:00 pm, the planting of trees will feature the participation of the school community.

On the 27th of November, a Saturday, the reforestation action, which takes place between 9:30 am and 11:30 am, is open to the general public (maximum 30 participants). Interested parties should register by [email protected] or calling 281 320 567.

“With this initiative, the council intends to awaken the population to the valorization and preservation of native species, as well as to the fight against invasive species”, according to the Câmara de Tavira.
