Piaget de Silves celebrates World Prematurity Day

Program starts at 8:30 am

The Piaget Institute of Silves will celebrate World Prematurity Day with a colloquium and workshop, on November 19, in the auditorium of the academic campus.

"The initiative, aimed primarily at nurses, nursing students and other health professionals, aims to sensitize students and the rest of the academic community to the issue of prematurity, providing at the same time a training moment and interdisciplinary sharing", says Piaget .

The program of activities prepared by the Jean Piaget Health School in Silves starts at 8:30 am, with a workshop on the theme “Basic Pediatric Life Support”. At 11:00 am, the colloquium begins, which lasts until the end of the afternoon, with multiple interventions by health professionals, three tables throughout the day and debates.

World Prematurity Day, also known as International Prematurity Awareness Day, is celebrated on November 17th.

The ephemeris is promoted by EFCNI – European Foundation for the Care of Newborn, a platform created in April 2008, at European level. Made up of parents and health professionals, the movement aims to give a voice to premature newborns, as well as their families.
