51 infractions, eight for wild camping and motorhomes in prohibited places and 43 for prohibition of parking and overnight stays, were detected this Tuesday, 16 November, in the Natural Park of Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina, in Vila do Bispo.

"Illegal or irregular camping and caravanning in a protected area can lead to excessive and disorderly occupation of public spaces, coastal zones and areas classified by motorhomes and the like, with negative consequences on the landscape, the environment, land use planning and public health ».

The GNR stresses that "it will continue to sensitize caravanists and campers to adopt more responsible and environmentally friendly behavior, especially in these protected areas".

The action was reinforced by the Detachment of Intervention of Faro and with the support of the Maritime Police of Lagos and the Voluntary Firefighters of Vila do Bispo.
