A 28-year-old man suspected of several home burglaries in the city of Faro was arrested, this Wednesday, November 17, by the PSP.
According to the Public Ministry, «between July 2020 and September 2021, in the parish of Sé, in Faro, the detainee, by breaking down doors and windows, entered 12 rooms, where he seized money and items of jewellery».
The man, who also lives in the parish of Sé, "used his knowledge of the area and residents to make it easier to commit crimes," adds the MP.
The PSP Command of Faro, on the other hand, adds that robberies were carried out «including the residents inside the houses».
The Police, after detaining the suspect, carried out three house searches and seized "several objects used by the suspect during the illicit activities and, also, various proceeds resulting from the commission of those crimes".
After being present to the judge, this Thursday, the detainee was placed in preventive detention.
