Cinemalua continues with sessions during December in São Brás de Alportel

The program includes films such as “Gunda” or “Rome, Open City”

The Associação Cultural Cinemalua has, in its schedule for December, films such as “Gunda” or “Roma, Cidade Aberta” and the initiative “O Dia Mais Curto”, at the Cineteatro de São Brás de Alportel.

Cinemalua's programming will start on December 6th, at 19 pm, with the film “Gunda”, by director Viktor Kosakovskiy.

The story centers on “the vastness of the living world in which we share our planet with billions of so-called farm animals. However, in industrialized societies, we are often conditioned to consider them as animals without science, mere passive resources», begins by saying Cinemalua.

In “Gunda”, the director offers us “a radically recalibrated moral universe, where encounters with a sow mother, two cows and a hen remind us of the inherent value of the life of all beings”.

On December 13, at 21 pm, “Roma, Cidade Aberta”, a film by Roberto Rossellini, will be screened.

“While Rome is occupied by the Nazis, life stories intersect. Among the characters are Pina, Francesco and Manfredi, leaders of the Roman resistance movement. Father Pietro helps the resistance, transmitting his messages and helping the movement financially», reads the synopsis of the film.

On the 18th, at 15:00 pm and 19:00 pm, and on the 19th, also at 15:00 pm and 19:00 pm, the “O Dia Mais Curto” initiative will be presented at the São Brás Cineteatro.

Organized by Agência da Curta Metragem, the party will travel across the country, from north to south, with the exhibition of a selection of national and international short films, for adults and children, in the most varied projection locations, be they cinemas, libraries , museums, televisions, swimming pools or public transport.

Tickets cost five euros per session. If you have a senior municipal card, the ticket will cost you 3,75 euros and, with a youth card, two euros.

An hour and a half for what really counts, to be with the people you love, your children, your friends and enjoy the little things in life. But do you get happiness in an hour and a half?, you can read in the synopsis of the film.
