Athletes from Lagoa become champions in rally, badminton and athletics

Last weekend, November 6th and 7th, Lagoa had two days of consecration for some athletes from the municipality, with Ricardo Teodósio and José Teixeira becoming national rally champions, with the Associação Académica da Bela Vista (AABV) to obtain titles in athletics and, in badminton, the Cultural and Sports Association Che Lagoense to become “National Champion of Men's Teams”.

With regard to the 2021 national rally championship, Ricardo Teodósio and José Teixeira, from Lagoon, became National Champions.

As for the athletics of Lagos, the Academic Association of Bela Vista (AABV), on the 7th of November, in Ponta Delgada (Azores), competed in the national championship of half marathon in the veteran class with the participation of eight athletes.

The municipality of Lagoa highlights, «at the individual level, Deolinda Lopes with third place and, for second, Rui Guerreiro. The set of excellent results obtained by the entire team also allowed the AABV to become the national champion of veterans, with 91 points».

In badminton, Associação Cultural Desportiva Che Lagoense was crowned National Champion of Men's Teams, in the championship that took place at Centro de Alto Rendimento, in Caldas da Rainha, with the women's team achieving 4th place.

The men's team is made up of athletes Bernardo Atilano, Bruno Carvalho, David Silva, Tomás Nero and Simão Diogo. In turn, the female athletes are part of the athletes Catarina Cristina, Daniela Conceição, Joana Lopes, Isabella Wilkinson and Maria Wilkinson. Both teams are coached by Dalila Belém.
