It's called “Algarve + Sustainable” and was born from the combination of the Bienal de Turismo de Natureza and the Algarve Nature Fest. This new event, which will last a year, will be presented next Friday, October 22, in Aljezur.
«The biggest event to enhance the natural heritage and promote nature tourism in the Algarve»: this is the premise of this new initiative.
Until October 2022, the “Algarve + Sustainable” “will carry out different activities, especially aimed at entrepreneurs, professionals and others stakeholders of tourism, with a focus on the implementation of more aware positioning, practices, products and services, in accordance with international standards of sustainable tourism», says the organization.
This October, there will be two knowledge workshops dedicated to Marketing in Nature Tourism (the 26th) and the Energy and Water Efficiency of Accommodation Units (the 29th). Entries and other information can be obtained soon at the event website.
Several debates will also be promoted, «with the purpose of listening to the sector and fostering dialogue between tourism agents and institutional entities and awareness-raising actions for the student public».
The presentation, next Friday, in Aljezur, will be broadcast in streaming on the event's Facebook page.
There will also be two walks promoted by Associação Almargem and Rota Vicentina, aimed at the general public, but subject to registration, which will be announced in the future.
