The Church of the Cathedral, in Faro, will have an access ramp. The new metallic structure will make it possible to respond to the current accessibility requirements for public buildings, namely by facilitating access for people with reduced mobility to this building of recognized religious and tourist interest».

The contract for the construction of this new metallic structure, awarded by the Municipality to the local company Ambartrans, for a total value of 114.139,53 euros, is already underway, with a deadline of 60 days.

According to the Chamber of Faro, the work “is part of the Municipality's effort to improve the conditions of accessibility for all, as an example, among other projects also in progress, the interventions carried out in the city's pedestrian crossings, with the respective ramping and leveling”.
