Rea won the second race of the Superbike World Championship at the Autódromo do Algarve

Razgatlioglu, who won on Saturday, went down

 

Jonathan Rea, from Kawasaki, won, this Sunday, the second race of the Superbike World Championship, which took place at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve.

The Brit, who had crashed on Saturday in the first race, was the fastest on Sunday, also benefiting from the fall of Tropak Razgatlioglu, championship leader and winner of the first race in Portimão.

Jonathan Rea won his 11th win of the season and consolidated his second place in the Worlds. This was also the 15th victory in Portugal.

Rea started from 10th place on the grid, took first place on the sixth lap, passing Yamaha's Razgatlioglu.

The two riders discussed the lead until the 12th lap of the circuit, when the Turk crashed and was forced to retire.

Scott Redding (Ducati) thus finished second and Loris Baz (Ducati) was third.

With these results in the Algarve, Rea reinforced his second place in the championship, with 454 points, 24 points less than Razgatlioglu, who has 478. Scott Readding is third with 424.
