Applications for the attribution of scholarships to students residing in the municipality of Olhão, who attend higher education, will be open in November.
Between the 1st and the 30th of the next month, students can request extra help for the expenses inherent to attending a higher education institution.
According to the decision taken at the Chamber meeting, held on 20 October, a total of 20 scholarships will be awarded, in the amount of 200 euros per month, for displaced students, and 100 euros per month for non-displaced students.
"This is a way that the Municipality finds to encourage the attendance of higher education by young students from Olhão, who, in the future, will be able to contribute to the qualitative development of the municipality in the exercise of their professions", says the Chamber of Olhão.
Scholarships are awarded annually, for a period of 10 months, as long as the conditions for award do not change.
