Covid-19: Algarve has over 22 cases of infection

Across the country over 327 cases of infection were reported

The Algarve registers another 22 cases of Covid-19, according to the bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) this Monday, 11 October, which has just been released.

Across the country, 327 more cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection were reported in today's report.

In 24 hours, 308 more people recovered (for a total of 1 027 424 recovered) and there was an increase in active cases (+12) to 30 167 patients.

As for accumulated numbers, there have been in Portugal, since the beginning of the pandemic, 1.075.639 cases and 18.048 deaths from Covid-19 in Portugal.

The region with the highest number of new registered cases is Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (+112). It is followed by the North (+76), the Center (+55), the Alentejo (+41), the Algarve (+22). ), the Azores (+11) and Madeira (+10).

The DGS reports seven more fatalities recorded in the North (4), in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (1), in the Center (1) and in Alentejo (1).

Admissions have increased across the country (+22) and there are now a total of 356 people in need of hospital medical care due to the new coronavirus.

In intensive care, there was also an increase from three people to 58 patients.

With regard to the risk matrix, the data reveal good news regarding the incidence rate: at national level it dropped to 82,9 cases of infection by Covid-19 per 100 inhabitants and to 82,7 cases, excluding the islands.

The R(t), the transmissibility index, increases slightly to 0,95, both nationally and taking into account only the mainland territory.
