VRSA Library hosts photo exhibition of Cerro do Bufo

The Cerro do Bufo trail belongs to the Sapal de Castro Marim and VRSA Nature Reserve and features an avifauna observatory.

The photographic exhibition on the route of Cerro do Bufo will be available from the 4th to the 30th of October at the Vicente Campinas Municipal Library, in Vila Real de Santo António. 

There are a total of 25 exhibits «that promote the ecosystems, water heritage and birdlife of Cerro do Bufo», says the Odiana association, which promotes the initiative.

This exhibition results directly from the photographic proof of the «Cerro do Bufo Trail», which took place from September 22 to October 5, 2020, and aimed to value and promote the natural heritage, as well as to lead to «reflection on the need for know, promote and conserve biodiversity”.

The Cerro do Bufo trail belongs to the Sapal de Castro Marim and VRSA Nature Reserve and features an avifauna observatory.

The hours available to view the exhibition are: Monday and Saturday from 14:15 pm to 19:45 pm and Tuesday to Friday from 9:15 am to 19:45 pm.

This action is an initiative of Associação Odiana, through its VALAGUA project, carried out in collaboration with the Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Forests (ICNF), with the support of the Municipalities of Alcoutim and Castro Marim and in collaboration with the Municipality of VRSA .

The VALAGUA project – Environmental Enhancement and Integrated Management of Water and Habitats in the transboundary Lower Guadiana – is a cooperation initiative between the Algarve, Alentejo and Andalusia, Interreg VA Spain-Portugal 2014-2020 Program (POCTEP), and co-financed by the FEDER.
