The Municipality of Lagoa applied for the “Program “1º Direito” by the Institute of Housing and Urban Rehabilitation (IHRU). The proposal involves the creation of 43 dwellings, in an investment of 11 million euros.
The objective is to advance with the Local Housing Strategy (ELH) of Lagoa.
With execution to take place between 2021 and 2026, the HLT of Lagoa foresees, in addition to the construction of the housing projects in Lagoa and Porches in a total of 43 dwellings, «solutions for the acquisition of vacant and degraded buildings and fractions to rehabilitate, in the Urban Rehabilitation Areas , and in the lease of fractions for sub-lease», says the Chamber.
The fractions that are already owned by the Municipality «will also be object of intervention for conservation, correction of structural anomalies and improvement of energy comfort».
On the other hand, families that own houses that need to carry out rehabilitation works and that do not have the financial conditions to carry them out, "may use this instrument, which will have a non-refundable contribution up to the maximum amount provided for in the program regulations".
