The Municipality of Tavira, prioritizing education, will help 965 students from the 1st cycle of basic education with school material kits and card books, to be delivered on the first day of the school year, in a continuous commitment to the quality of education and in supporting families in the county.
This is an investment by the municipality of around 19 thousand euros in the purchase of school material kits, as well as around 35 thousand euros in booklets/activities.
The municipality offers the index books/activities as a complement to the 1st cycle school manuals that will be provided by the Ministry of Education in public education.
Private education students will also benefit from the respective school manuals.
For the children of Cachopo, who were transferred to the Escola de Martinlongo, the municipality also guarantees the material and school records.
Considering the current pandemic situation, the delivery of all materials will be carried out directly in the classroom of each educational establishment, during the first day of the school year.
