Theatre, parades, stories, circus or cinema are some of the proposals of the “Book Festival” which will take place on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of October, by Aljezur, with the motto “Literary acrobatics & other impossibilities”.
The initiative, which will take place next weekend, will start on Friday, October 1st, in the riverside area of Aljezur, at 16 pm, with the parade “Burros & Livros”, circus entertainment and music.
Later that day, at 17 pm, in the Urban Park of Aljezur, “Stories of a woman” will be told by Ana Sofia Paiva.
At 18 pm, the circus show “Viagem inside a book” will take place, by the Circo Vagamundo company.
To close the first day, the Cineclub de Faro will exhibit, at Espaço +, the film “451º Fahrenheit”, by François Truffaut.
The next day, October 2nd, the morning begins with the children's play “Artur”, at 10:30 am, at Parque Urbano de Aljezur. At the same time, but at Largo da Carrapateira, there will be a circus entertainment.
The church of Carrapateira will receive, at 11:00 am, Paula Cusati telling “Stories of a woman”.
On the same day, the Parque Urbano de Aljezur once again receives the circus show “Viagem inside a book”, by the Circo Vagamundo company.
On the last day, October 3, Largo de Odeceixe will have circus entertainment at 10:30 am, and at 11:30 am the church will receive “Stories of a Woman” by Paula Cusati.
At 14:30 pm, at Largo de Maria Vinagre, the Circo Vagamundo company will have circus entertainment and, at 18:00 pm, at Parque Urbano de Aljezur, they will present the show “Viagem inside a book”.

The “Festa do Livro” is an initiative of the “Tertúlia – Socio-Cultural Association of Aljezur”, with funding from the municipality of Aljezurense and the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.
