Farense drew 2-2 with Académico de Viseu, in a game counting for the 5th round of the II League played this Monday at Municipal de Aveiro, borrowed house of the viseenses.

In Fanã's debut as head coach, the Algarvians were winning twice, but could not hold back a victory that has eluded them since the beginning of the championship.

Viseu tried to have the initiative of the game from the opening minutes, but Farense would be ahead in the marker and soon after 17 minutes.

In a very successful collective play, Mayambela wins the end line, crosses and Falcão, from close range, took advantage of an incomplete interception by goalkeeper Mbaye and scored.

The home team conceded the goal and didn't seem able to change their luck. Farense, on the other hand, tried to manage the game and watched for the counterattack whenever he could.

Before the end of the first half, Viseu started to show its claws, but the break arrived without the result changing.

Shortly after the return of the changing rooms, the Viseense team reached the tie in the 52nd minute, through Vítor Bruno, who signed a great goal, from outside the area.

The Algarve tried to react to Viseu's goal and narrowly missed scoring soon after, but this time Mbaye managed to intercept Mayambela's cross.

The visitors continued to be the team that most sought the goal, but with little discernment.

Elves Baldé was, in the final minutes, the player from the Algarve who showed the most disagreement and it was his feet that, in the 86th minute, came the cross to 1-2, headed by Pedro Henriques.

The game looked resolved, but it wasn't. On the 90th minute, Vítor Bruno returned to take advantage of a lost ball and equalized the match.

Farense still tried, but failed to score again.

With this result, Farense remains below the waterline, in 17th position with only two points added.
