Covid-19: Algarve has over 70 infections, active cases continue to decline across the country

Intensive care admissions rose slightly

The Algarve registers over 70 cases of Covid-19, on a day when active cases fell again across the country, according to the bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) this Saturday, 25 September, which has just been released .

Nationally, one of the highlights continues to be the drop in the number of active cases (-278) which are now 31.481.

This is largely due to the fact that data from recovered (+986) are higher than new cases (+713). Portugal also registers five more deaths today.

These deaths occurred in the North (2), in the Center (2) and in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (1).

As for new cases, the 713 of today are divided into Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (266), North (204), Center (85), Algarve (70), Alentejo (63), Madeira (14) and Azores (11 ).

Infirmary admissions decreased slightly (-2, out of 408), but rose slightly in intensive care (+7, out of 83).

With regard to the risk matrix, keep the data from yesterday, Friday.

The incidence rate at the national level is 127,3 cases of infection by Covid-19 per 100 inhabitants and 129,7 cases, excluding the islands.

The R(t), the transmissibility index, stands at 0,83, at national level, and at 0,82, taking into account only the mainland.

The contacts in surveillance are 28.604 (+317).
