The financing contracts for the construction of the international bridge between Alcoutim and Sanlúcar de Guadiana will be signed, this Wednesday, September 8, in Alcoutim, in a ceremony that will count with the presence of Ana Abrunhosa, minister of Territorial Cohesion.
The session, which will take place at Espaço Guadiana, will also be attended by the secretaries of State Carlos Miguel, Deputy and for Regional Development, Isabel Ferreira, from Valorização do Interior, and Ricardo Pinheiro, from Planning.
In a note sent to the newsrooms, the Government emphasizes that, «with funding of 9 million euros from the PRR for intervention in national territory, this bridge will reduce around 70 km of displacement in the connection between the two sides of the border and thus help to develop the regions of the Algarve and Andalusia and improve the quality of life of their populations».
