Inframoura circular economy project financed by the Environmental Fund

Project will cost 27 thousand euros

Inframoura will receive funding from the Environmental Fund to promote the Circular Economy project “Infinity”.

In this initiative, the Loulé municipal company «fully applies the concept of circular economy, which is based not only on prevention, reduction and reuse, but also on the recovery and recycling of materials», producing useful objects from waste, according to Inframoura.

Partners in the project are the Municipality of Loulé and its creative hub Loulé Design Lab, who «artfully sign the pieces and are responsible for the prototypes, design and production of the products that will be designed specifically to cover the special needs of users Private Social Solidarity Institutions (IPSS) in the municipality of Loulé».

The project will last until November and represents an eligible investment of 27 thousand euros, co-financed by 70%.

The candidacy of the Algarve company was ranked 9th out of a total of 121 proposals submitted, "having considered the defined objectives, the main key areas, the established approach, the potential impacts and sustainability of the project" -

«The creation and design of objects, incorporating the waste that Inframoura services collect daily in Vilamoura and that would become “garbage”, with the main focus on reducing its ecological footprint combined with its social responsibility, reinforce its role of cohesion in society. The defined strategy, which will lead to its development and implementation, will extend into the future beyond the financial support obtained», assures Inframoura.
