Paulo de Carvalho joins the Hammond Project for a concert in Portimão

“Hammond Project” is an original music project, combined with arrangements of Portuguese songs

Musician Paulo de Carvalho will join, as a guest, Carlos Araújo's Hammond Project (guitar, voice, composition, arrangements) and Luís Ruvina (Hammond B3, bass pedal) for a concert next Thursday, 2 September, at 21 pm, at TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão.

In this show, which will also have the presence of Cuban drummer Manuel Santiesteban and Jaques Quaresma on vocals and guitar, «original themes and adaptations of the Portuguese songbook will be interpreted, interpreted in a unique and exclusive way, either by the sound of the instruments or by the original approach musical of its participants and guests, allied to the modernity of the original themes and arrangements», says the Câmara de Portimão.

The public will have the opportunity to hear Paulo de Carvalho interpret themes such as “Prelúdio”, better known as “Mãe Negra”, “Meninos de Huambo” and songs in tribute to Carlos do Carmo, such as “Lisboa, Menina e Moça”, in versions adapted to jazz.

“Hammond Project” is an original music project, combined with arrangements of Portuguese songs. The concept is that of Portuguese jazz, which has the Hammond organ as a great reference.

Tickets for this show cost 10 euros and are for sale online on here, as well as at the TEMPO ticket office, open from Tuesday to Saturday between 13:00 pm and 18:00 pm and on the nights of the show until the start, in addition to the usual places that adhere to BOL: FNAC, Worten, CTT, Youth Hostels, El Corte English, Stores Note! and Serveasy Network.
