The municipal company AmbiOlhão will promote from this Monday, 23rd of August, until 17th of September, another general disinfestation campaign against rats, cockroaches and other crawlers, which will take place throughout the municipality of Olhão.
The sites covered, informs AmbiOlhão, "will be waste water collectors, streets and urban waste disposal areas."
The municipal company alerts private individuals “to the importance of disinfestations also inside buildings, commercial houses and other private spaces, since it cannot intervene in areas that are not in the public domain”, explains the municipality of Olhão.
In the case of interventions against rats, and given the toxicity of the baits, it is not possible to apply them on the ground. The baits will only be applied inside the sewage networks, to avoid accidents with children or pets.
The map below shows the days when the technicians will be in each area, so that the owners of commercial spaces, houses and those responsible for condominium companies, "may coordinate the disinfestation of the respective properties for the same periods, in order to improve the effectiveness of treatments in both private and public areas», concludes the municipality.
