Lagoa supports local businesses by delivering vouchers to students

“Val€ to buy in local businesses – Back to School” has an investment of 40 thousand euros

The municipality of Lagoa will distribute vouchers of 25 euros to students in the 2nd and 3rd cycles, as well as to secondary education students in the public network, in a campaign "Val€ buy in local businesses – Return to Classes" with an amount of 40 thousand euros, in yet another way to help local businesses, namely the county's stationery stores.

This campaign follows on from the success of “Val€ buy in local businesses”, which took place between December 2020 and July 2021, in direct support to small businesses.

These vouchers will be delivered at the beginning of the school year, with the collaboration of the School Groups, and may be redeemed against school supplies at participating stationers until December 31st.

This initiative is included in a package of measures with which the Lagoa City Council will reinforce its support to students in its municipality in the next academic year and has as a partner the Association of Commerce and Services of the Algarve Region (ACRAL).

«This is another “two-in-one” measure that aims, on the one hand, to support local commerce and, on the other, to support Lagoa families, namely the municipality's students, says Luís Encarnação, president of the Lagoa City Council.

“After the success achieved with the campaign “Val€ buy in local businesses”, we decided that we would implement more measures to support local businesses and this is one of them”, stresses the mayor.

The stationery stores in the municipality that would join this campaign are Papelada e Companhia (Lagoa), Cantinho da Vila Estômbar (Estômbar), Cantinho da Vila Parchal (Coviran do Parchal), Tudoffice (Parchal), A Loja do Investidor (Parchal) and stationery Kings (Ferragudo).
