New analyzes revealed normal values

The ban on bathing at Fuzeta-Ria beach, in the municipality of Olhão, was lifted around midday today, Wednesday, announced the Captaincy of the Port of Olhão, which took this decision in conjunction with the Portuguese Environment Agency ( APA).

After the APA made a new analysis of the water quality, «the results revealed that the microbiological values ​​were again within the reference parameters», reveals the Captaincy.

In view of the results, the ban on bathing on the beach was lifted, with the Captain of the Port of Olhão giving instructions for the green flag to be hoisted.

Fuzeta-Ria beach was closed since yesterday, Tuesday, after water quality analysis, carried out by the Portuguese Environment Agency, have revealed microbiological values ​​above the reference parameters, with the water being unsuitable for bathing.
