Portimão will host, between August 28th and September 18th, “Entrecriativos”, a project of cultural ignition and reactivation of the city center, which brings together workshops and exhibitions, conceived by professors in the area of creativity and design at the Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes (ISMAT).
The opening moment of the event will take place on Saturday, at 10:00 am, before the first workshop, at Largo da Mó.
The initiative aims to "contribute to the development of initiatives and events that can stimulate the creative and cultural industries in Portimão".
"It is also a response to the urgent need to build a creative and cultural ecosystem that involves different agents in the territory, with a program that explores the borders of different creative areas and knowledge, but above all makes the community come back to life and feel the energy of the center of Portimão», according to ISMAT.
This Saturday, August 28th, as well as on September 4th and 11th, eight professionals from different creative areas will develop workshops, open to the entire community.
On Saturday, at 10:00 am, Inês Teles will promote a two-hour workshop on Drawing Mancha. At 15:00 pm on the same day, the workshop “2021 – City of the Future – Design, Technology, City and the Future” will be held, which will last three hours and will have Malanho as a facilitator.
On September 4th, three workshops will take place. The first, scheduled for 10:00 am and lasting five hours, will have the theme “Cianotype” and will be directed by Alexandre Ramos.
At 15:00 pm, Nina Frasier will promote a “Collage” workshop (three hours) and at 18:00 pm, Inês Barracha will host an illustration workshop (two hours).
On September 11th, the first workshop of the day will be about “Movement” and will have the signature of Tiago Martins (three hours). At 14:00, Eunice Duarte will teach “Webcamming for artistic practices” (4 hours).
The day ends with a lecture by João Machado on the “Travessa da Ermida” project, scheduled for 18:00.
Participation is free and all interested parties over the age of 15 can participate. Each workshop can have a maximum participation of 15 people.

From September 5th to September 18th, there will be exhibitions in the windows of Just Class, Just Class kid and Ana Sousa.
Finally, from September 12th to September 18th, works will be exhibited at HL Man Woman, New Line and Mata Porcos Restaurant.
“Entrecriativos” is a co-organization of DesignIS-ISMAT's Design, Creative Technologies (new degree) and Design for the Circular Economy (new master's) courses and has the support of the Parish Council of Portimão and the Associação Portimonense do Trade and Services.
