A 41-year-old man was found this afternoon lifeless in the forest on João D'Arens beach, in Portimão. The Maritime Police says the cause of death is unknown.
The alert was received by the Firefighters Volunteers of Portimão, at 14:10 pm. The elements of the Maritime Police isolated the place where the body was, and the Judiciary Police proceeded with its analysis.
The death was declared on the spot by INEM, and the body was transported by the Firefighters Volunteers of Portimão to the morgue in Portimão.
The investigation is now under the responsibility of the Public Ministry.
The local command of the Maritime Police of Portimão took care of the incident.
