“There is Cinema in the Republic” from this Sunday

The initiative has the support of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve and the partnership of the Cineclube de Faro

República 14, in Olhão, as in the last two years, will return with “Há Cinema na República” starting this Sunday, August 15, at 21 pm, in the association's outdoor space.

The film that opens this year's sessions is the work of Marc Caro and Jean Pierre Jeunet, “Delicatessen”, “a black comedy set in a futuristic and post-apocalyptic Paris where food is so scarce that it ends up being used as currency trading. The film's plot centers on a building whose owner murders its tenants to sell their meat and ensure their survival,” says the association in a press release.

«With an unusual work of photography in which white and brown colors predominate, provoking a biting visual stylism, the story is based on a comic book by Gilles Adrien, who signs the script together with the directors»
