InterMEDio Festival continues to liven up Loulé

Tonight, the fourth of the interMEDio Festival, the loulet Nuno Guerreiro, who will premiere his new work, and the multifaceted Moullinex will take to the stage

Buba Espinho, DakhaBrakha, Sílvia Pérez Cruz, Tristany&Prétu were some of the artists who animated the Festival interMEDio, in Loulé, in the last two days, 24th and 25th of August.

On Tuesday, August 24th, the night began with a regular presence throughout the 16 editions of MED: Fado. But this time a Fado combined with Cante Alentejano, through the voice of Buba Espinho.

«From Beja to the historic area of Loulé, the young man brought in his luggage both traditional Alentejo songs as well as Lisbon-based fados, a combination that is certainly one of the best tributes to the two intangible cultural heritages of humanity approved by UNESCO. Buba Espinho's immaculate voice was joined by some of the artist's guests», says Câmara de Loulé.

In a different way, «Ukrainians DakhaBrakha dragged with them a legion of fans, both their fellow countrymen living in the Algarve, as well as a loyal audience that closely follows the band and vibrates with the entire instrumental, vocal and scenic scenario. And it was in this “ethnic chaos”, as they characterize themselves, that an audience in a trance vibrated. A full return to the MED stage where the group from Kiev passed in 2011».

On this Wednesday night, the 24th, whoever was at interMEDio was lucky enough to watch the performance of Sílvia Pérez Cruz, who returned to MED after having already performed at the festival in 2013.

«This time accompanied by her band, the Farsa Circus Band, she proved to be a complete artist, who sings and composes, who moves through several registers, who draws from various sources and who even uses several languages to express her music. One of the most magical moments of the night was even his reinterpretation of the theme “Sound of Silence”, by Simon&Garfunkel», says the Loulé local authority.

«Another energizing end of the night in this interMEDio, with the union on stage of two of the greatest national rappers: Tristany and Prétu. This commission from the organization to the two artists gave everyone present the privilege of watching a unique and unrepeatable show», he adds.

Tonight, the fourth of the interMEDio Festival, the Loulé native Nuno Guerreiro, who will premiere his new work, and the multifaceted Moullinex take the stage.
