With 292 establishments, in Rota do Petisco the difficult thing is to choose

The event runs until October 10th and the passport can now be purchased

292 establishments are part of the 11th Petisco Route, which starts on the 10th of September and will pass through 11 Algarve municipalities.

The initiative will pass through Aljezur, Vila do Bispo, Lagos, Portimão, Monchique, Lagoa, Silves, Albufeira, Loulé, São Brás de Alportel and Tavira.

«Petiscadores are, once again, invited to visit all these restaurants and patisseries in search of the best snack and enjoy them all», says the association Teia d'Impulsos, organizer of the initiative.

Some of these snacks were «created from regional products, others made by renowned chefs and there should still be room in the belly for international snacks from other places», he adds.

Those who lead a healthier lifestyle will find several Vegetarian Options on the menu. The younger ones are also “called” to snack like grown-ups through the Rota dos Môces Pequenes: they accompany their parents and relatives and, in some establishments, they will find a dish that fits their “height”.

To participate in this true gastronomic odyssey, you must purchase your Passport at one of the participating establishments or at one of the official sales points.

Its value (1,5 euros) reverts in full to nine social projects that this year are part of the Solidarity Route. With their passports in hand, the petiscadores set out on an adventure and try to stamp as many establishments as possible, which may even be worth prizes. At each stop you will discover a special menu at a very affordable price: snack with drink (3 euros) and sweet with drink (2 euros).

The event runs until October 10th and the passport can now be purchased.

This year's edition adopted the motto “Snack but Don't Risk”, encouraging participating establishments to comply with all the hygiene and safety standards imposed by the General Directorate of Health (DGS) in relation to Covid-19. Rota do Petisco is an initiative organized by the Teia D'Impulsos Association, with the support and partnership of several public and private entities.
