PRAVI, MAPS and Refood Faro receive support from the Continente Mission in foodstuffs

Institutions will also start receiving daily food surpluses from the new space

PRAVI (Support for Helpless Victims Project), the Aids Support Movement (MAPS) and Refood Faro received shopping carts with essential goods, as part of the opening of the new Continente Bom Dia store in Bom João, in Faro, which happened on the 15th of July.

The supported institutions “will also start receiving the daily surplus of food from the new space”, says Continente.

PRAVI is a social, non-profit association that strives to rescue, house, feed and provide veterinary assistance to abandoned or at risk animals.

MAPS, on the other hand, is a non-profit association whose object is to provide services to the community in the context of issues related to HIV/Aids, sexuality, drug addiction, homelessness, migrants, ethnic minorities, discriminated groups and other social emergency issues.

As for Refood Faro, explains Continente, is “an independent, citizen-led, 100% voluntary, eco-humanitarian charity community that works to eliminate food waste and hunger in every neighborhood”.

This new store, in Faro, created 58 jobs, in an investment of 8,5 million euros, and has a sales area of 1280 m².

«The actions of Missão Continente are part of the Social Responsibility initiatives that Continente has been communicating as #BomParaPortugal, as they reflect the intrinsic relationship that the brand has been developing with the communities in which it operates, in gratitude for the trust placed in the over 35 years», concludes the note sent to the editorial staff.
