Praia da Batata, in Lagos, is no longer prohibited for bathing, after the most recent laboratory analyzes of the water in this bathing area have revealed that «the microbiological values were once again within the reference parameters».
Thus, the Captaincy of the Port of Lagos, in conjunction with the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA), which carried out the analyses, lifted the ban on bathing and raised the green flag on this beach.
the ban had been decreed yesterday by the captaincy, after being informed by the APA that the analyzes carried out on the water had “revealed microbiological values above the reference parameters, the water being unsuitable for bathing”.
