A 33-year-old man was arrested this Saturday, the 17th, for being suspected of having physically assaulted a 29-year-old woman on the beach at Vale do Lobo, on the coast of Loulé.
Following a complaint made at 17:30 pm, by several witnesses who claimed to have seen the man attacking his girlfriend, elements of the local Maritime Police Command were immediately sent to the scene. Faro, who identified the alleged aggressor.
The Public Ministry was contacted, which ordered the suspect to be detained and made an accused, with a term of identity and residence, and will therefore be presented to court next week.
The couple, of foreign nationality, were then taken to the premises of the Local Command of the Maritime Police of Faro, who took care of the incident, to make statements.
