The European Youth Championship in Obstacle Jumping (Equestrianism) takes place from the 18th to the 25th of July, in Vilamoura.
It is the second time that Vilamoura is the host of this international competition, after having also hosted it in 2004.
The organization of the event is the responsibility of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) and the Vilamoura Equestrian Center and this year it will be chaired by João Brion Sanches, CEO of Vilamoura World.
About 300 participants from 30 countries are enrolled in this European Show Jumping Championship for young riders, divided into three competitive categories (Children – under-14; Juniors – under-18; and Young Riders – under-21), competing both individually and in teams.
The Vilamoura Equestrian Centre, in addition to various training and competition spaces of international level for the practice of equestrian sport, has 870 permanent boxes for horses and an equestrian clinic with SPA, which allows it to host major world events in the field of jumping. obstacles like the Vilamoura Atlantic, the Champions and the Summer Tour.
