The Caracol Festival returns, during the month of July, to the terraces of cafes and restaurants in the municipality of Castro Marim.
«With this initiative, the municipality of Castromarinense intends to minimize the economic impact caused by the measures to combat Covid-19, stimulating small businesses/restaurants that want to join the challenge», says the Chamber of Castro Marim.
To date, 12 cafes and restaurants in the municipality have joined the initiative, whose list can be consulted here on the site of the municipality.
In this edition, the municipality integrated a new element: musical animation.
«All participating cafes/restaurants will be, during this period, animated by local cultural agents, a support policy that the municipality of Castro Marim has developed with local culture and art, which have been going through very difficult periods», says the autarchy.
Each participating establishment will also be encouraged to have elements depicting the snail and the local authority will mark each terrace with a small replica of the giant snail that now marks the initiative at Praça 1º de Maio, in Castro Marim.
The organization urges that, whenever you can, make your reservations at participating cafes and restaurants, as well as respect for Covid-19's preventive measures – hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette and physical distance.
