«A band of poets and artists» composed of 15 students from the Gil Eanes Secondary School, in Lagos, launched a book this Thursday, June 30th, and inaugurated an exhibition, in the courtyard of the Centro Cultural de Lagos, which can be visited until the 24th of July.
Sara Coelho, councilor for culture at the Câmara de Lagos, entity that sponsored the publication of the book “Flying on the wings of a band of poets”, was one of the guests at the ceremony, which also featured Luísa Novais, president of the Grupo dos Amigos de Lagos , who published the book and promoted the event, and Paula Couto, president of the Gil Eanes Schools Group, where the project was developed over three years.
«The perseverance of these students was praised, it was emphasized that the support received for the realization of what seemed like a dream is a stimulus for other young people and the request that the gang stay united in its flight and land again many times, giving back to the entire community. hope in each one deposited», says the group Amigos de Lagos.
In this event, there was also a reading of poems, by the authors of the book, «with dance, music and humor, ending this meeting with a discreet autograph session», concludes the group..
The exhibition “Bando de Artistas” is also supported by the Parish Council of São Gonçalo de Lagos and by Intermarché.
