All proposals for July are available in Guia Algarve

Concerts by Áurea and Gabriel o Pensador, a street cinema cycle, theater with Eunice Muñoz and an astronomy festival will liven up the month of July in the Algarve.

The musical highlights go to the Summer Concerts, in Lagos. Hot and lively nights are expected at Parque das Feiras with the sound of great artists and bands such as Áurea (28th), HMB (29th), Gabriel, o Pensador (31) and Katia Guerreiro (August 1st), who will take the stage always at 21 pm.

The music also arrives in Lagoa, which hosts the Promenade Concerts Cycle (July 4th, at 16:30 pm, in the Carlos do Carmo auditorium), with a classical music program designed for the whole family, including a projection of drawings as a background for stage to captivate the little ones.

As for Largo da Fortaleza, in Cacela Velha, three D'Encanto Concerts are scheduled (at 21 pm): they are Eastern Mediterranean and Maghreb Music (30th), Middle Eastern Music + Giro Sufi and Dance (16th) and Music of Medieval Europe (17).

For those who like theater, the offer is vast and very appealing: A Margem do Tempo (on the 24th, at 21 pm, at the Centro Cultural de Lagos – Duval Pestana auditorium), with the unavoidable Eunice Muñoz, is a show that is a passing on of testimony to his granddaughter Lídia Muñoz and to future generations.

It has an original soundtrack created and performed by Nuno Feist.

“As Noites do Medronho” brings together two theater shows in the mountains and in the distilleries, in Monchique, namely: To end in beauty (or maybe not) (on 02, 03, 09 and 10, at 19:30 pm, at Monte da Lameira, in Alferce) and Mulheres da Serra (16th, 17th, 23rd and 24th, at 19:30 pm, at Casa do Medronho, in Marmelete).

In the Algarve, the mild summer climate also provides outdoor activities and, therefore, the region will host a cycle of Cinema na Rua, as part of the Bezaranha project (23rd and 30th, at 21 pm, on Avenida da República, in Vila Real de Santo António), and the Out-(In)verAno Festival, an event that combines astronomy with art and heritage, offering initiatives such as night astronomical observation, exhibitions, walks, workshops and concerts (on the 30rd, from 23 pm onwards , and on the 16th and 00th, from 24:25 am, at the Bravura, Bensafrim and Barão de São João dams, in Lagos).

The month of July is also marked by the start of the Lagoa Wine Experiences event. There are five visits (one per month, until November) to different properties of wine producers in the region, giving the possibility to enjoy very different wine tourism experiences, including lunch and wine tasting (first session on the 10th, at 10:30 am, with meeting point at the municipal swimming pools, in Lagoa).

The July program also includes options for water sports lovers, such as the GC32 Racing Tour 2021 (on the 1st, 4th, 28th and 1st of August, in Lagos bay) or the European Raceboard Championship (between the 3rd and 7 in Vilamoura).

For those who prefer motorsport, you can visit the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve for the FIM CEV, watching the start of another exciting season of the championship known as the booster for MotoGP riders (between the 2nd and 4).

In addition, the Algarve will once again receive the Sunset Secrets at Castelo de Silves, every Thursday of the month, between 18:30 and 23:00. It will be a new edition filled with concerts, gastronomy and other local products, with an emphasis on orange and Silves wines. There is also space to schedule a relaxing massage, enjoy musical moments with Duo Sax and dance with the Dancenema Company, culminating in a fire show with Wild Fire.

All proposals for July are available in Guia Algarve, a publication that can be downloaded free of charge here.
