Maria Rodrigues Miguel and Sofia Luana Leão Riel, 6th grade, and Rafael Guaré Graça, 9th grade, were students from the EB2,3 school in São Vicente, Vila do Bispo, who received academic merit awards for the 2019 school year /20east, on Saturday, the 26th.
Each of the students received an FNAC gift card worth 250 euros, a school achievement merit card, two free entries per student to Zoomarine, a gift from this theme park, and publications by the Municipality.
This award “has the objective of encouraging and recognizing the efforts of young people in their schooling throughout the previous academic year”, according to the Vila do Bispo Council.
At the awards ceremony, Rute Silva, Mayor, «exalted the excellence of the work, dedication, effort and academic performance of the students, teachers and their guardians».
