The “Vertical Race” is back and, this time, the challenge is to climb, this Saturday, June 26, starting at 20:30 pm, the 12 floors and 180 steps of the Albufeira Jupiter Hotel.
«This is an unprecedented challenge in the national sporting plan», says the organizers of the event.
The race will be divided into individual time trial events, in the male and female categories.
Each athlete will climb the stairs once, and the top 10 will compete in the last and final stage that will award the winners of the “Corrida Vertical Albufeira Jupiter Hotel”.
In total, 100 athletes can participate, and entries are made here, until June 24th, and cost 10 euros.
The athlete's kit has a t-shirt, two masks, discount vouchers and a dinner at Albufeira Jupiter Hotel. The registration fee will be donated in its entirety to an institution of a social nature in Albufeira.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the presence of spectators will not be allowed, but the race will be broadcast live on Facebook and Youtube of the Albufeira Municipality and Vertical run.
The “Corrida Vertical Albufeira Jupiter Hotel” is an organization of Free Challenge, in co-organization with the Municipality of Albufeira and support of Clube Desportivo Areias São João, Algarve Athletics Association and with the seal of Eurologistix – Audiovisuais & Eventos and Take5-Produções Audiovisuals.
