Asked by journalists in Funchal about the approval of a digital certification for the circulation of European citizens vaccinated against Covid-19, recovered from infection or tested, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa replied: «This is very good news. The European Parliament has given the green light”.
“Now we have to do the work that is needed, which is to make it applied by as many countries as possible. It's worth it if there are many Europeans from many countries around. Therefore, the greater the number of countries to join, to apply, from the 1st of July, the better», he added.
The head of state defended that "the laws can be very good or less good, what matters is the application".
