Man kidnapped in Alcoutim and taken to Loulé due to purchase of Audi

According to the authorities, the suspect "acted motivated by the fact that he sold the Audi to the victim and the payment was missing"

A 34-year-old man, suspected of having abducted another man for an alleged debt in the sale of an Audi branded car, taking him from Alcoutim to Loulé, was banned from contacting the victim, announced this Tuesday, 8 March June, the Public Ministry (MP). 

According to the MP, it was at the end of April this year that, in the afternoon, "the suspect and three individuals" went to the victim's workplace, in the municipality of Alcoutim.

Once there, they attacked the 31-year-old man “with punches and kicks”, put him in a car and took him to Loulé.

In this city, "when the suspect and the three subjects" tried to get hold of a vehicle, Audi brand, "the victim managed to escape".

According to the authorities, the suspect "acted motivated by the fact that he had sold the Audi to the victim and the payment was missing".

The man "was subject to coercive measures prohibiting contact with the victim and periodic presentations to the police authority," says the MP.

The criminal action under the tutelage of the Public Ministry, counts on the investigation of the Judiciary Police, which carried out the arrest.
