About a hundred young riders competed, between the 9th and 13th of June, in the National Youth Championship of Obstacle Jumping, which took place at the Vilamoura Equestrian Club with the support of the Portuguese Equestrian Federation.
The six titles were delivered this Sunday, making known the new national champions: Bárbara Elias da Costa Fernandes, with Viking de Mesil (pre-juveniles), Alice Laruça, with Canouan Island (juveniles), Daniela Pereira Rodrigues, with Diamant Wetts ( pre-juniors), Caetana Serrano, with Evita Peron (initiated), João Patrício, with C. Grand Canyon Z (juniors) and Francisco Fontes, with Tutti Quanti Tame (young riders).
In July, the Vilamoura Equestrian Club will also host the European Youth Show Jumping Championship, where more than 20 nations are expected.
