Aljezur approved a cooperation protocol for the constitution of the Special Device to Fight Rural Fires, in the year 2021, in order to make the Algarve region "more resilient and safer, for those who live here and for those who visit us". announced the municipality this Friday, June 18th.
The municipality of Aljezur will contribute with €33.991,25, an amount to be distributed from May 15th to October 15th, in a regional partnership with the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority, AMAL (Comunidade Intermunicipal do Algarve) and the Corporations of Algarve firefighters,
Also within the scope of the DECIR 2021 device, in order to strengthen the operational teams, the municipality of Aljezur approved an increase in funds, in the amount of 10 thousand euros, for the months of June, July, August and September, thus enabling the teams to that operate in the field, always be accompanied by a graduate, who performs the functions of 1st COS of the teams.
This year, this measure is extended for another month, taking into account the whole panorama that is experienced and that requires exceptional measures.
