Registration for participation in the Free Time Activity Centers (ATL), in the municipality of Albufeira, for the next school year, is already taking place through the municipal education portal.
Between the 28th of June and the 9th of July, the first phase will take place, aimed at the renewal of enrollments for students who have already attended the same ATL in the previous year.
Upon renewal, the registration form must be filled in and proof of the guardians' working hours must be attached.
The second phase of registration, starting on July 12th, will be aimed at new applications from young people to attend the Centres.
For these applications, it will be necessary to attach documents such as the declaration of the employer of the parents/guardians regarding the working hours, indicating the vacation periods, the proof of the Social Security or Employment Center, in case of illness, maternity and/or unemployment, a certified copy of the content of the homologating decision and/or judgment on parental responsibilities (when applicable).
Enrollments will be made online, and the lack of documentation mentioned may make it impossible to enroll in the ATL, as well as the lack of veracity of the requested data.
In Albufeira, there are ATL in Paderne, Ferreiras, Fontainhas and Olhos de Água (Grupamento de Ferreiras); Correeira, Caliços and Vale Pedras (Albufeira Schools Group); Avenida do Ténis, Guia and Vale de Parra (Albufeira Poente School Group), which are open from Monday to Friday, from 17:00 pm to 18:30 pm and during school breaks, from 9:00 am to 17:00 pm.
«The municipality has made a strong investment in this type of educational infrastructure, but it is aware that they are not sufficient to meet all requests», says José Carlos Rolo, president of the Albufeira City Council.
Vacancies are limited and may be reduced for security reasons and the current epidemiological situation, so the mayor of Albufeira calls for parents/guardians to "only enroll children who really need to attend the ATL".
«The ATL in the municipality of Albufeira are educational equipment for family support, inserted in 1st Cycle schools, and which aim to respond to students whose family back office is unable to offer this type of support, namely to provide playful-pedagogical activities aimed at motivating creativity and the harmonious development of children», concludes the municipality.
