Coastal Control Unit Portimão Sub-Deployment Controlled Fish Discharge

600 kilos of sardines (pilchardus sardina) were apprehended in Portimão, on the 9th, due to the fact that the fishing vessel that had caught them had “exceeded the legally established catch limits”.

The excess sardine caught was detected during an inspection carried out by the Portimão Sub-detachment of the GNR Coastal Control Unit, with the military controlling the unloading of fish in the fishing port of Arade.

The offenders were identified and the respective administrative offense was drawn up, the fish being seized and submitted to the first auction sale regime.
