Preferential deadline for responding to the 2021 Census over the Internet ends today

As of May 31, census takers will make a second round of accommodation for which there was no response.

The preferential deadline for responding to the 2021 Census via the Internet ends today, marking the end of the first phase of responding to the National Institute of Statistics' surveys covering more than six million households.

Inquiries can be answered. this site with the codes of the letters that were delivered to the mailboxes by the approximately 11.000 enumerators and all the answers must refer to the accommodation situation on the 19th of April, the census day.

In addition to the Internet, citizens can use the support number 210542021 to respond, they can use the e-counter at their parish council or, as a last resort, fill in the classic paper questionnaires delivered by the enumerators, who will follow a “strict protocol of Public Health” because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

As of May 31st, enumerators will make a second round of accommodations that have not yet responded to try to collect responses by means other than the Internet.

As of April 27, INE had already received more than 2,4 million responses, 92% of which via the Internet, and representing statistical information on more than five million people.

Altogether, around 2021 people are involved in carrying out and processing the 15.000 Census data.
