Lagoa launches platform to give greater visibility to local associations

The platform will be available on May 31st for the general public

The Associativism platform, presented on April 26 at Carlos do Carmo Auditorium, in Lagoa, will be available to the general public on May 31, constituting an «important link between local associations, the Municipality and the general public'.

"This instrument allows us to value, encourage and recognize the work developed by the associations, through the promotion and dissemination of all their activities, with the commitment that the information present on this platform is kept up to date", says the municipality, stressing that "this platform aims to to be a reflection of the associative dynamics in our municipality».

With the municipality of Lagoa "a strong associative movement", the municipality "considered it necessary to create" this platform, a place where local associations can have greater visibility, through the presentation and promotion of their activity, as well as providing useful information regarding their identity and respective contacts.

The platform was presented to the various associations of the municipality through a session in which the president of the Lagoa Luís Encarnação City Council, the regional director of Culture Adriana Nogueira, the regional director of the IPDJ Custódio Moreno and the regional administrative secretary of the Corps were present. National Scouts of the Algarve, Luís Balacumba.

“It is through associations that common goals are strengthened and achieved, citizenship and the integral development of all people are promoted. Therefore, and much more, we consider the creation of this instrument extremely important», considered the Mayor Luís Encarnação.

On May 31, which marks the National Day of Associations and Collectivities, the platform will be available to the general public.

In the future, it is intended that the platform will also be used by associations to place requests for municipal facilities and for logistical and financial support.
