“Culture in Climate and Digital Transition” is the theme of the last talk on Faro2027

The role of art and creativity in the climate and digital transition will be the motto for the third and final talk da Faro2027, which will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, May 5th, at 10:30 am.

The objective of these conversations is to collect contributions that can be integrated into the document “Culture Algarve Horizonte 2030”, “which should be completed by the end of the summer and which will serve to guide municipalities and regional entities, framing public policies, with a view to to obtain community funding in the next Multiannual Financial Framework (2021 – 2027)”, according to the organizers of the event.

What are the networks and agendas for the climate and digital transition in the region and in Europe? What articulation is needed between public, private and civil society entities in digital innovation and environmental sustainability? What is the role of arts and creativity in the climate and digital transition in a society at different speeds? What framework does the culture have in the new European financing mechanisms that are very focused on the climate transition and the digital transition?

These are some of the questions that will be on the table in this week's third debate, as part of a set of initiatives to discuss issues related to culture.

This is a partnership between AMAL, the Faro2027 – Candidacy for European Capital of Culture, the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve and the University of Algarve.
