Preventive arrest for three men who belonged to the network that trafficked in Almancil and Sintra

The military seized 1330 doses of cocaine in these searches

Three men, suspected of belonging to a drug trafficking network that operated in Almancil and Sintra, will be placed in preventive detention, announced this Thursday, 15 April, the GNR and the Public Ministry.

In total, they were detained this Monday, April 12th, six people: four men and two women.

In addition to the three preventive arrests decreed, the other man detained was subject to periodic appearances at the police station in his area of ​​residence, a ban on contact with other defendants and a ban on leaving the Algarve.

Finally, one defendant was subject to periodic presentations at the police station in her area of ​​residence and prohibition of contact with the other defendants, and the other was subject to a term of identity and residence.

According to the GNR, the investigation had been going on for about six months, and this network "operated in several locations" in Almancil and Sintra.

Seven house searches were carried out, four in the Algarve and three in the municipality of Sintra.

In these searches, the military seized 1330 doses of cocaine, a press and material used in drug packaging, 12 mobile phones, four laptops, three precision scales, a tablet, a gold bracelet and 7726 euros in cash.
